Sean P. McCullough Memorial Scholarship


The Sean P. McCullough Memorial Scholarship Fund was named after Sean McCullough, a Plattsburgh High School senior who died tragically on May 14, 2005. Learn more about Sean here or watch the video below.
The scholarship supports outstanding graduating seniors from any New York State Section VII high school that plans to continue their education at the college level. Students must be a member of the school track team, embody school spirit, demonstrate academic strength, dedication, competitive spirit, and good leadership skills.

There is no student application for this scholarship. Students must be nominated by their track coach. If you are a coach seeking a nomination form, you can download it at the link below.

Scholarship Information

Eligibility and How to Apply

Student must be nominated by their track coach. There is no student application.

Student requirements:
-Must be a graduating senior from any Section VII high school in New York State.
-Must be continuing their education at the college level.
-Must be a member of the school’s track team.
-Must embody school spirit and show strong team leadership.
-Demonstrate a dedication to the sport and team regardless of the team’s success.
-Demonstrate academic strength and a competitive spirit.
 
Applications are available here. All completed applications must be returned either by mail to Adirondack Community Foundation, PO Box 288, Lake Placid, NY 12946 or by email to leslee@adkcommunityfoundation.org.

Deadline to apply is May 1 annually.

Scholarship amounts are up to $1,750.
